The custodial remand of Tapuria, who was arrested on March 24 in connection with money laundering and tax evasion charges, was ending today
Hasan Ali, who is currently lodged in the high-security Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, was arrested by ED sleuths for stashing away huge amounts of black money in banks abroad. He is also facing a Rs 70,000-crore tax demand notice from the income tax department.
The Income Tax Tribunal had on March 4 issued a showcause notice to 53-year-old Hasan Ali.
