Controversial Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede's tenure with the NCB has ended for now.

Wankhede was deputed to the NCB's Mumbai zone in August 2019 after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide.

His services have been put at the disposal of his parent organisation, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence.
