So, you love to dance and you are a good dancerÂ… but how long can you dance? If you can dance non-stop for 65 hours, you should be in Goa this year-end.

The Radisson White Sands Resort is hosting the world's longest dance party in the coastal state in a bid to get its name into the Guinness books of records. The previous record was set in Delhi by a group that danced non-stop for 55 hours.

The event requires people with a high level of fitness. Physical trainer Kaizad Kapadia is screening potential participants at Euphoria, a gym in south Mumbai. "It may sound trivial but dancing can be as strenuous as a marathon," he says.

Posters have been put up in various dance academies and gyms in the Konkan belt (western Maharashtra region) and potential participants are being screened in Mumbai and Goa. Those selected with have to undergo specific training programme.
