The Delhi police have started questioning Indian Mujahideen operative Shahzad regarding the blasts at Pune.
Shahzad, who was picked up by the Delhi cops from Azamgarh in connection with the Batla House case, had revealed that the IM had planned on making a strong comeback after being kept silent for more than a year.
Delhi police sources told rediff.com that he had not spoken about a Pune operation, but had informed them that Pune would continue to be the main breeding centre of the Indian Mujahideen.
The Delhi police say that they would focus the interrogation on the basis of the Pune blasts and try to get more information relating this particular case.
Shahzad had told his interrogators that they were given specific briefs to target foreigners and high profile targets.
Shazad had told investigators regarding the modules in Pune and how this place was becoming a hub for the Indian Mujahideen. He had also said that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Riyaz Bhatkal, their boss in Karachi, were monitoring their operations constantly.
