Gen Rawat's daughters bid tearful adieu to parents

Kritika and Tarini -- the late Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat's daughters -- on Friday paid floral tributes to their parents at the general's official residence in New Delhi.

The CDS's grandchild also paid final respects to the grandparents.

General Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were among the 13 people who died in the military helicopter accident in Tamil Nadu's Coonnor on Wednesday.

Religious leaders held a multi-faith prayer to pay their respects to the CDS and his wife.

Soldiers from the 5/11 Gorkha Rifles -- the regiment into which General Rawat was commissioned into the Indian Army in 1978 -- looked after all the arrangements.
