All-Party Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani will undergo an operation at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday for suspected cancer in the kidney, family sources said.
Security cordon remained in place around the Hurriyat leader, who was released on parole on Saturday by the Jammu and Kashmir government after nine months of detention under the Public Safety Act.
He was admitted to the hospital on February 5 for specialised treatment.
