Aditya’s family raising doubts over Gaya police probe after his blood-stained clothes were recovered from outside the post-mortem room.
The mother of Aditya Sachdeva -- the student who was shot dead by suspended Janata Dal-United member of legislative council Manorma Devi’s son Rocky Yadav -- on Thursday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the killing of her son, after blood-stained clothes of Aditya were found near a road raising serious questions about the investigation by the Bihar police.
Aditya’s mother Chanda Sachdeva said, “We demand a CBI probe into killing of my son .We have lost faith in Bihar police after blood-stained clothes of Aditya were found near the post-mortem room. Is it how police has been treating the case?” she said.
After the police was informed about Aditya’s family recovering his clothes they have finally been sent to a lab for a forensic test.
Chanda also questioned the delay of 26 hours in filing the first information report and the failures of police to provide them a post-mortem report of Aditya.
Aditya’s family fears that accused Rocky Yadav, who was arrested on Tuesday, can influence the ongoing investigation by Bihar police as he belongs to a powerful political family.
Additional Director General Sunil Kumar said that police will file a chargesheet against Rocky Yadav within a month to conduct speedy trial in the case.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said his government will not spare anyone found guilty of killing Aditya in Gaya and stern action would be taken as no one is above the rule of law.
Rocky’s father Bindi Yadav was arrested and sent to jail on charges of helping him to escape.
An arrest warrant has been issued against Rocky’s mother Manorma Devi following the recovery of liquor bottles from her residence.
