Gangrape issue: Parl panel to grill home secy, Delhi CP

Union Home Secretary R K Singh and Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar will face tough questions on Thursday from the members of the Standing Committee on Union Ministry of Home Affairs headed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Venkaiah Naidu.  

Delhi gangrape case and subsequent violence in Vijay Chowk , including gag on media, are likely to be debated on Thursday.  

Select Congress MPs have also begun to raise voice that Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar should be dismissed. This slogan gained momentum after it was initiated by Sandip Dikshit, Congress MP and son of Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit.
