A nine-member Bharatiya Janata Party delegation led by party president Nitin Gadkari will leave for China on a five-day tour from January 20, its national secretary Dr K Laxman, said.

Besides visiting New Energy Research Institute at Guangzhou and New Bamboo and Agricultural Processing Institutes, the delegation would conduct a field study of new energy development and recycle projects in the rural areas of China, he said.

The BJP leader said since terrorism has become a global phenomenon, the delegation would discuss the need to combat terror with unity and would like to impress upon the Communist party leadership of the imperative, and isolating those nations, which covertly support terror.

"In addition to forging a new alliance based on understanding and reciprocity between the two countries, the tour has multi-disciplinary focus and aims at studying various developmental modules in China," he said.

Laxman said he is particularly keen on study of 'Shanghai City Planning'. He wants to study and understand the infrastructural facilities such as traffic and transport system in the city and their management so that some of them could be suggested for the city of Hyderabad.
