Fresh tension has gripped north Kashmir yet again as the body of the teenager missing since July 28 was fished out on Tuesday evening from a stream near his native Kreeri village, 40 km from Srinagar.
Relatives and villagers in Kreeri village allege 18-year old Fareq Bukhari was arrested from the Kreeri village after protests on July 28 and since then he had been missing.
Though police had denied the arrest, it had, however, constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the family's allegation.
This evening the teenager's body was fished out from the Ningli stream near Choora village adjacent to his native village in north Kashmir Baramulla district, according to a senior police officer.
As the news about the recovery of the body spread in the area hundreds of villagers from Kreeri, Choora and other adjacent villages carried the body in a procession, blocking the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad
