Partly allowing the prosecution's plea in the case against actor Salman Khan under the Arms Act, a local court on Tuesday ordered examination of four more witnesses attached with the Forensic Science Laboratory on March 10.

Chief Judicial Magistrate of Jodhpur Anupama Bijlani has given the prosecution the last chance of produce all these witnesses and reports on March 10.

“If the prosecution fails to produce them on that day, the witness (examination) would be closed and the matter would again be set for judgement,” said Khan's lawyer H M Saraswat.

“Besides this, the magistrate has also ordered to produce three FSL reports pertaining to the case on the same day along with the relevant documents, if required,” Saraswat said.

Confirming this, prosecution counsel N K Sankhla said that these four witnesses allowed by the court to be called are material witnesses and their examination would be important for the case.

This decision of the court of allowing these nine years’ old applications partly has further delayed the pronouncement of the judgment, which was scheduled for March 25. The CJM had earlier refused to pronounce the judgment before deciding these applications.

The Arms Act case against Khan is related to the blackbuck poaching incident.
