Former Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh on Thursday apologised to party colleagues for taking some poor decisions while leading the party.
Addressing the party national conference in Indore, Singh said: "If I made some mistakes or poor decisions, forgive me. Please forgive me but do not in any way lose faith in the president's post," Singh said.
Singh, who took over from party colleague LK Advani in 2005, was mainly blamed for party's debacle in 2009 Lok Sabha election.
Crucial decisions like Jaswant Singh's expulsion and denying re-entry to former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh were taken during Singh's tenure.
