The five persons who allegedly provided logistics for the blasts were picked up from Coimbatore. The number of arrests has now gone up to 10. Police sources from Bangalore say that the five persons are being interrogated for their role in the case.
“Prima facie it appears that they had provided logistics and were part of the Al-Umma outfit which carried out the deadly Coimbatore blasts a few years ago,” said a source.
“Al-Umma has been in revival mode and Bangalore blasts were a way to announce the same,” an Intelligence Bureau official pointed out.
