As many as 11 children died of a mysterious fever in Karnal in the past three weeks, officials said Wednesday.
Out of the 11, ten were girls and all were below the age of 10 years, they said adding, in the latest incident, a five-year-old girl of village Katlaheri, 20 kilometres from Karnal, died after being admitted to the Karnal Civil Hospital.
The blood samples of the deceased had been taken to Delhi to ascertain the cause of the deaths, Karnal Civil Surgeon S S Dalal said.
