A man was beheaded on Monday inside the compartment of a local train when it was entering Bazarshaw station on Eastern Railway.
The police said 36-year-old Khokhan Ghosh died inside the compartment of Katwa-Azimganj local train after two miscreants hacked him with sharp weapons inside the train.
The miscreants fled as the train slowed down before entering the station, sources said.
Ghosh, a farmer, is a resident of Salar in Murshidabad district and was going to Behrampur.
The police suspect family feud behind the killing, sources said.
