The Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay the publication, telecast and broadcast of opinion and exit polls till the last phase of polling is over on May 10.

A three-judge bench headed by Justice S Rajendra Babu, however, issued notices to the Union of India, Election Commission and the Press Council of India on a PIL seeking a ban on such polls.

Notices have also been issued to some news channels that have conducted and broadcast poll results.
