The Taiwanese nationals had violated the provisions of Foreigners Act, and were arrested on the night of June 12. They were produced in the court the next day and were remanded in police custody till June 19.
However, Rinpoche Gankar, who allegedly owned the premises in with the Taiwanese were working as carpenters and was arrested from Delhi on June 15 and the caretaker were released on bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each, police said.
Cash amounting Rs 30 lakh, $3,000, 35,000 Chinese yen, liquor and SIM cards were also recovered from the Taiwanese.
The release of Taiwanese established that they were artisans working in the monastery and had no Chinese links.
