On a tip off about the presence of Naxals in the forest area of Puarti village, a search was launched by Greyhounds force of Andhra Pradesh and district force early Tuesday morning, Sukma Superintendent of Police Abishek Shandilya said.
On spotting the security forces, Naxals opened fire and in the retaliatory action, ten rebels were killed, he said, adding some arms were also recovered from the encounter spot.
Six bodies of Naxals have been recovered so far.
