Efforts were on to bring Dawood Ibrahim, prime accused in the 1993 Bombay serial bomb blast case, to India, CBI Director Ashiwini Kumar said on Saturday.

"He is one of the most wanted criminals and is very much on our radar. We are trying to find him and as soon as we get him we will arrest and bring him to the country," Kumar said.

The chargesheet was filed against 123 persons within 2 years and three months and the court in 2006 convicted 100 people, he said while inaugurating a training module for press correspondents here.

"Of the 100 convicted, 37 are absconding. We have been able to arrest five or seven of them, but the prime accused Dawood Ibrahim is still absconding," Kumar said.

"Dawood Ibrahim is not only wanted in our country, but there is also an Interpol Red Corner notice against him. His name also appears on the the UN charter of dreaded criminals."

Over 250 persons were killed in the March 1993 serial blasts in the country's financial capital.
