The Election Commission of India launched the Lok Sabha polls process by convening an all party meeting on February 4 at the Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi.

As per tentative plans, the invitations from the EC are likely to be sent to 128 parties.

The Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and eight other main national parties are likely to attend, along with 65 regional parties.

The commission has already prepared a list of dos and don’ts which it will use to instruct the parties.
