EC transfers 4 collectors, 7 IPS officers in TN

In the poll bound Tamil Nadu, the Election Commission went on a transfer overdrive on Saturday, shifting 4 collectors and 7 senior Indian Police Service officers.

The EC ordered shifting of Tamilnadu Director General of Police Letika Saran, the first woman DGP, of Tamilnadu.. Bhola Nath has been posted in her place.

Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam strongman and union minister MK Alagiri's home turf Madurai has also been disturbed by the EC. Madurai collector and commissioner of Police have also been transferred. 

Other transfers

District collectors from Erode, Theni, Madurai (Alagiri's home ground) and Tiruvallur districts have been shifted

Inspector General (south), Balasubramanian has been replaced by Manjunath. Similarly, Karan Singh has replaced IG (rural) Sanga Ram Jangid.
