Seven persons drowned when their boat capsized in the Ganga river in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The boat was carrying 15 people.
While eight persons were rescued, the rest drowned, Station Officer of Kokhraj police station Chandra Shekhar said. The victims were going towards Karsaura Ghat from the Pratapgarh side when the boat capsized.
All the bodies have been fished out of the river, he added.
