The Modi regime appears determined not to concede any ground to the agitating farmers who want the agri-laws repealed.
The BJP Sarkar had hoped that fatigue would set in and the farmers would disperse. But that has not occurred and the farmers have dug in, braving freezing temperatures, the government's lathis and tear gas, and the deaths of over 50 farmers.
Dominic Xavier wonders if the rulers in Delhi will see the light, address the farmers's grievances and let them go home (though he doubts it).
