There is hope for Air India after all.

The government on December 14 revealed that it has received 'multiple expressions of interest' for the airline.

The government is selling its entire 100 per cent stake in Air India.

Among the companies that have expressed interest in Air India are the Tatas, which founded the airline in 1932 before it was nationalised in 1953.

The Maharaja was Air India's original symbol and Dominic Xavier is rooting for the airline to be snapped up by the Tatas and returned to its old glory.
