By DOMINIC XAVIER

Dominic Xavier remembers Father Stan Swamy, who passed into the ages on Monday, July 5, 2021.

The 84-year-old Jesuit priest, a lifelong activist for tribal rights, was the oldest Indian charged under the draconian UAPA, for alleged involvement in the Bhima Koregaon case.

Suffering from Parkinson's disease, Father Stan was even denied the user of a sipper in Taloja jail. He was moved to a hospital later where he died of COVID-19-related complications.
