A massive quake measuring 8.9 on the Richter Scale rattled northern Sumatra in Indonesia on Wednesday, at around 2:38 pm local time, because of which tremors were experienced across the eastern coast of India, principally in Kolkata, Chennai.
Worse, a tsunami warning has now been issued by the US Geological Survey after the quake in as many as 28 countries, including India, Australia, Sri Lanka, etc.
