The images of defence installations made available by Google Earth portal were over a year old and did not pose any real concern, a senior Navy officer said in New Delhi Thursday.
"Unless it is a current image, its information and intelligence value is limited," Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Naval Command Vice-Admiral Madanjit Singh told reporters.
"The photos on Google Earth are more than a year old and there are measures by which you can define the position you are in," he said.
