Eighteen people were killed on Friday morning when the mini truck they were travelling in collided with a truck at Raya, 35 kms from Amritsar, police sources said.
Deputy Inspector General of Punjab Police P S Gill said 18 people -- 11 women, four children and three men -- died on the spot.
Police added that the four injured, who were rushed to the Dera Beas Radh Soami Hospital, are in a critical state.
