A Delhi court on Monday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of singer Daler Mehndi, saying his custodial interrogation was necessary in the case pertaining to alleged illegal trafficking of people.
Additional Sessions Judge A K Mendiratta said the FIR revealed that serious allegations have been laid out against Mehndi and his interrogation was necessary.
The allegations cannot be said to be malafide, the judge said. Mehndi, the judge added, also had not approached the competent court in Patiala where the case had been registered.
