The constable fired several rounds, killing the sub-inspector on the spot.
No reason was known for the killing.
This is the second such incident in the last 10 days. A CRPF constable, in a fit of anger, killed seven of his colleagues before being shot dead at battalion headquarters in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on November 28.
