Political pressure is also mounting on Kerala's Left Democratic Front government to facilitate the Karnataka police to carry out the legal process.
After a meeting with Joint Commissioner of Bangalore police Alok Kumar on Monday night, Kerala's Inspector General (southern range) Hemachandran made it clear that the "warrant would be executed."
This assurance came after Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya openly put the blame for the delay in the matter on the Kerala government.
Though reconciled to the reality, the PDP leader is still weighing the options before him -- whether to yield to the arrest or surrender before a nearby court. Madani, who underwent a medical check-up on Monday, may also be moved to the hospital.
According to police sources, even in such a scenario, the police could bring him under its custody and record the arrest to fulfill the legal requirement.
