A police constable and his friend were arrested for allegedly raping a 20-year-old, police said on Friday.
Police constable Dhanajay Madne, 23, attached with local arms' wing alongwith his friend Arshad Ali, 21, took the victim to a resort in Manori on October 3 and raped her, Additional Police Commissioner Ramrao Pawar told PTI.
The duo had threatened the girl of dire consequences if she revealed anything to anyone, he said.
However, the victim, who works in a hookah parlour in Mumbai, lodged a complaint on Thursday following which the two have been arrested on charges of rape, Pawar said.
