All India Congress Committee chief Sonia Gandhi is studying AICC observer Ghulam Nabi Azad's note on Telangana and a decision is likely to be out by this weekend.

Sonia Gandhi is waiting for the subject to come up before the core committee, which will meet after the return of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh from Maldives.

The decision of the Congress party will be submitted at the all party meeting convened by Home Minister P Chidambaram on Telangana, most probably by early December.

It may be recalled that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram commented that AICC would come out with a statement on Telangana after Eid.
