Hitting back at the Congress, Karnataka ministers and mining magnates Janardhana Reddy and B Sreeramulu made light of its Padayatra and rally in their citadel, terming it as a 'flop show'.
"Congress padayatra is a failure, a flop show. (leader of the Opposition in the Assembly) Siddramaiah's drama is mainly to save his skin," Health Minister Sreeramulu said on Monday after the Congress' 320-km padayatra on illegal mining culminated in Bellary in a massive show of strength.
Tourism Minister Reddy alleged it was Congress leaders who were involved in illegal mining and demanded their apology to public for making "baseless allegations" against them.
Storming the mining bastion of Bellary, the Congress leaders targeted the Reddy brothers accusing them of plunder of state's natural wealth and warned that the Centre will not remain a mute spectator to the 'loot'.
The Congress embarked upon the padayatra accepting a challenge from the Reddy brothers to set their foot on Bellary, their home district.Karnataka building collapse: 4 killed, 20 trapped
