Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Monday held a meeting at 6.30 pm at the PM's residence in the capital.

The Congress leaders discussed the next course of action over the Women Reservation's Bill, which will be debated in the Parliament on Tuesday.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Defence Minister A K Antony also attended the meet.  The all-party meet called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the Women's Reservation Bill was postponed to Tuesday.

Earlier, Dr Singh had called for an all-party meeting from 4.15 pm today to arrive at a political consensus and avoid the bill being put to a voice vote later in the evening.

Prior to this, the prime minister had held meetings with Congress leaders Pranab Mukherjee, party president Sonia Gandhi's political advisor Ahmed Patel, allies of the United Progressive Alliance, Rashtriya Janata Dal party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The latter two have announced a withdrawal of outside support to the government over the issue.
