Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman of the All Party Hurriyat Conference, condemned the collective punishment being inflicted upon the entire population of valley for pursuing their just cause for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Two days before the all-party-delegation of parliamentarians is scheduled to visit the Valley, Mirwaiz said, " The process was accelerated after thousand of Kashmiris were able to give expression to their demand at the historic Lal Chowk rally. The entire population of Valley has been caged in their homes, an all-out war has been declared against them," Mirwaiz said.
The secretary general of the Organization Of Islamic Conference has invited the Mirwaiz to the OIC's Foreign Ministers meet of the OIC contact group on Kashmir,which includes Pakistan, Iran ,Niger, Saudi Arabia and Turkey in New York.
The APHC spokesman in a written statement said "that while the Hurriyat Conference has kept the OIC informed about the current situation in the Valley, the visiting team will reinforce the urgent need for a just and permanent solution of the Kashmir
