Chief Justice of India S H Kapadia on Wednesday visited the blast site and held a meeting with Delhi high court chief justice Dipak Misra.
Justice Kapadia inspected the site along with Justice Misra and five other judges of the high court around 5.15 pm.
The members of the Delhi High Court Bar Association
were also present.
Additional Solicitor General and DHCBA President A S Chandhiok, who also accompanied Justice Kapadia, said that the CJI stressed the need for beefing up security of the courts across the country.
"The CJI discussed about the general security of courts all over the country. He was of the view that there was a need to beef up the security of the courts," Chandhiok told PTI.
He said Justice Kapadia emphasised on the need for decongestion of the court premises so that there could be sufficient space for lawyers, litigants and others.
