At least 24 people were killed and 30 injured when 13 cars got involved in a collision on an expressway in southern China's Guangdong province, police said in Beijing on Monday.
The accident took place on an expressway from Kaiping to Yangjiang near the city of Jiangmen on Sunday.
Nine of the injured were in a critical condition, Xinhua news agency reported.
A probe has been launched into the cause of the collision.
