Chidambaram's LS address on Maoist carnage today

Home Minister P Chidamabaram will make a statement in the Lok Sabha on Thursday on the Dantewada carnage by Maoists last week, which will be followed by a discussion on the subject. Originally scheduled for 1 pm, it has been pushed back following the Lok Sabha adjourning till 2 pm following a furore over the Maoist
attacks.

While the minister's statement is not expected to be anything more than his statement last week soon after the massacre accepting full responsibility, what should be interesting in the debate that follows it. Initiating it will be the Bharatiya Janata Party's Sushma Swaraj, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
