Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Friday said his government would consult the state's advocate general on the Hogenakkal drinking water project in Tamil Nadu, which he had opposed in the run up to the polls.
"We will consult the advocate general," Yeddyurappa told the media after the first cabinet meeting, in which Uday Holla was appointed as the AG, while replying to a question on the project.
The anti-Hogenakkal agitation began after Yeddyurappa visited Hogenakkal located on Tamil Nadu side of the border on March 16 and protested the project's implementation.
