The Dr Manmohan Singh interview

March 01, 2006

Ahead of United States President George W Bush's visit, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has said an agreement on the civilian nuclear deal would be President Bush's "great contribution" to ending India's isolation from the world nuclear order.

In a wide-ranging interview with Charlie Rose telecast on the Public Broadcasting System in the US on Monday, Dr Singh also said the US should use its "influence" on Islamabad to convince it that using terrorism as an instrument of state policy has no place in the world.
