The crime branch investigating the Bugti murder case requested the judicial magistrate, Faisal Hameed, to issue the arrest warrants, The Express Tribune reports.
The crime branch had earlier obtained the arrest warrant of former Balochistan Home Minister and sitting member of Provincial Assembly, Shoaib Ahmed Nosherwani.
The Balochistan government had requested the Pakistan Government to extradite Musharraf, but the federal government had asked for his arrest warrant, which is required by Interpol for it to issue red warrants to nab fugitives.
Nawabzada Jamil Bugti, the eldest surviving son of Bugti, had registered an FIR at Dera Bugti Police station, in which he had named Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, former Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, former Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousaf and Nosherwani.
Bugti, chief of the Jamhoori Waten Party, was killed along with his 35 comrades in a military action near Kohlu and Dera Bugti Tribal Territory on August 26, 2006.
