Take for instance, Bihar’s Panchayati Raj Minister Bhim Singh.
Before hiding behind the oft-parroted line in Indian politics -- “my comments have been distorted” -- Bhim Singh unleashed a shocking comment: “Sena aur police me log marne hi jate hain...” (WATCH VIDEO)
That translates as “People join the army and the police force only to die.”
What made the comment even more inappropriate was its timing. It came just after bodies of four of the five soldiers killed in the ambush at the Line of Control arrived at Patna airport.
When a reporter quizzed him about why no minister was there to receive the bodies, Bhim Singh came up with this answer: “Did your father and mother go (to receive the soldiers' bodies)?”
