The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation to respond within four weeks on a plea seeking to retrieve the amount withdrawn by Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, an accused in the Bofors case, from his defrozen accounts in a UK bank.
A Bench headed by Justice C K Thakker also sought a response from the agency on a plea seeking the presence of Quattrocchi before the trial court in Delhi.
