A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court, comprising Justice M B Shah and Justice Arun Kumar, on Thursday allowed all three Hinduja brothers, facing trial in the Bofors payoff case, to go abroad till May 2.

The court granted permission to the Europe-based brothers -- Gopichand, Srichand and Prakashchand -- following an undertaking given by their counsel Ram Jethmalani that they would not flee from the trial.

Jethmalani said if the court disposed of their appeal against the high court order, listed for March 11, and the trial commenced, the three brothers would appear before the trial court.

The court agreed to Jethmalani's request.
