At least 20 people were killed and several missing as a boat capsized in Punpun river in Arwal district in Bihar on Thursday.
Rescue operations are on in full swing, officials said.
Police officials told rediff.com over telephone from Arwal that the death toll is likely to increase.
They said the boat was carrying over 50 people.
