BJP leader killed in Bihar

A Bharatiya Janata Party leader was shot dead by unidentified criminals in Raxaul district near the Nepal border, police said on Monday.

Sonelal Gupta, a BJP leader was shot dead in Raxaul in Bihar's East Champaran district when he was returning to his residence. Gupta was a close associate of local BJP MLA Sanjay Singh. The police have arrested two suspects in this connection with his murder.

Raxaul Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajeev Ranjan told rediff.com over telephone that an FIR was lodged against three accused in the case.
