Former United States president Bill Clinton, whose visit to India was cancelled due to "serious security considerations", will address the India Today conclave live via satellite on March 1.
Clinton was scheduled to visit New Delhi for his keynote address to the conclave, but a statement from the former president's office said the United States Secret Services had requested him to cancel the visit because of "serious security considerations".
He is expected to speak for 90 minutes in the conclave, which is being held in the national capital from February 28 to March 3. The conclave would feature a galaxy of international and national leaders, including President A P J Abdul Kalam, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Pakistan Member of Parliament and former Pakistan cricket team captain Imran Khan, a release said.
The conclave, who theme is India Tomorrow: Global Giant or Pygmy?, is expected to be attended by 250 delegates from India and abroad.
