Three Maoists were killed on Monday in an encounter by Special Task Force personnels assisted by Cobra battalion of Central Reserve Police Force in Bihar's Rohtas district.
"A joint team STF of Bihar police and Cobra battalion of CRPF launched the combing operation near Matiyaon village in Chutia police station when armed Maoists opened fire," Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.
In the ensuing encounter three Maoist cadre were killed on the spot, he said. The police brought the bodies to the district headquarters here, he said.
