"Why has Modi remained silent on the reservation issue after the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh expressed its agenda to end it? Modi's silence on the reservation issue is disturbing,” Lalu said at a press conference in Patna.
Lalu said reservation should be in proportion to the population of Dalits and OBCs.
"We are looking to increase reservation and the RSS is conspiring to end it. We will not allow it," Lalu said.
Targeting the RSS, the RJD chief described the outfit as a factory to spread hate in the country. "RSS has its agenda to make Dalits and OBCs as slaves," he claimed.
Questioning Bharatiya Janata Party's development agenda in the polls, he sought to know "why the BJP had promised to distribute TVs, laptops and scooters if the party is sure of its development issue.”
“The BJP is trying to bribe people for votes,” he said.
He cautioned people that Modi had betrayed the people by falling to fulfil his promises made during the last Lok Sabha polls.
Before heading out for campaigning, Lalu also claimed that BJP president Amit Shah was dreaming of becoming the prime minister by pushing back Modi.
Lalu's younger son is 26, the older is 25
